Overberg is a region of South Africa, east of Cape Town. It's known as a gateway to the Garden Route coastal stretch. Agulhas National Park, on Africa’s southernmost tip, has a 19th-century lighthouse with views of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Venturing inland and upwards from Cape Town you’ll find the Boland, meaning ‘upland’. It’s a superb wine-producing area, and indeed the best known in South Africa. The magnificent mountain ranges around Stellenbosch,Paarl and Franschhoek provide ideal microclimates for the vines.
